This is a sweet "Hawaiian-type" bread. If you prefer it to be less sweet just cut down on the sugar. It is basically fool proof and it is a wonderful basic recipe. You can build your product from this basic recipe. When you have punched it down the second time, you can roll it out, put cinnamon, brown sugar, and raisins on it and roll it up to back and you have sweet roll bread. But don't think you need to change it because it is amazingly yummy just like it is. And you don't need a Kitchenaide. If you have one great. If not no problem. You have to try it.
