Ingredients
1 cup blanched almonds
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
3/4 cup seedless raisins
4 cups milk
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup quick-cooking farina
2 tablespoons rosewateer
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Brown almonds in butter. Add raisins and saute slightly, set aside. Heat milk with sugar in saucepan. Stir in farina and cook until thickened, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and add flavoring and spices. Pour into serving dish and top with reserved almonds and raisins. Serve warm. Makes 6 servings.
