Blackberries and apples make a beautiful, claret-colored fruit leather. Use any berry you have on hand, fresh or frozen and any kind of apple. You'll be able to taste the honey in the finished product, so if you want a cleaner fruit flavor, substitute sugar.

As the author notes, she was skeptical, so was I. That is until I saw the ingredients...imagined the melding of flavors. Sweet, tart and hot! Yum to say the least. Now that it is apple harvest time here in Washington This Apple Salsa is going to be something I will be adding to my menu for sure. How about you??

Every year I put up at least 45 pounds of fresh peaches in the freezer so we can enjoy this delicious fruit well into the Spring. These two recipes, one a smoothie with peaches, juice and yogurt, and the other a fruit crisp dessert with peaches, blueberries and a crispy oat topping, are wonderfully delicious and peachy keen!
