Don't wimp out and think you are serving wassail if it is made with wine or cider. Real wassail (like in the Christmas carols) is made with ale or beer, and is a delicious hot winter drink. Dating from the Middle Ages, wassail is just as good today as it was hundreds of years ago!

I was skeptical until I tried it. Then I took it to church where people were skeptical until they tried it. Every drop was gone in ten minutes!
