This red pepper hummus is a very healthy and delicious way to fill up between meals. Since it can be prepared beforehand and lasts for many days when refrigerated, you can keep using it throughout the week. Pair it with vegetables, pita bites or tortilla chips

Ingredients:
14 oz. garbanzo beans, canned
½ cup roasted red bell peppers
2 tbsp. tahini
1 juiced lemon
2 minced cloves of garlic
1 tsp. salt
1 pinch of paprika or chili powder as garnish (optional)

Directions:
1. Drain the garbanzo beans, saving the liquid for later.
2. Put the beans, lemon juice, garlic, salt, tahini, red peppers and 2 tbsp. of the garbanzo bean liquid in a food processor.
3. Pulse the food processor until the mixture is smooth.
4. Cover and refrigerate.

It’s as easy as that! Now you have a convenient, healthy snack for at home or at work. It also makes a great appetizer for a picnic, barbecue or dinner party. I love hummus...not necessarily for its health benefits ;)...it's because it packs a very flavorful punch. My palate is very fond of savory...this nom nom recipe definitely is a must-try. Thanks for sharing!
